Tutorial: How to Contour

I promised a friend a tutorial on how to contour a round face many months back so here it is! I hope this helps. :)

Without contouring

With contouring

Before you can start with contouring, you need a contour powder. For warm skin, i like MAC Harmony. For fair skin, Benefit Hoola. And for olive skin, MUFE contouring kit #2. Basically, these are bronzers without shimmer. I used MAC Harmony in this tutorial as i got tanned during my Boracay vacation two weeks ago. :)

Another thing you'll need is a contouring brush. For beginners, Real Technique's contouring brush is a great choice. This is what i used here.

To contour the cheeks, making a fishy face is not the right way!

What you need to do is feel for the natural groove in in your cheekbones then follow that line when applying the contouring powder. Once you got the line, blend the powder upwards for it to look natural.

Follow the groove then blend upwards

Thanks for reading! :D
